Overview
The IT Steering Committee is an advisory body that receives, solicits, develops, prioritizes, coordinates, and recommends projects and proposals to the Executive IT Governance Board in support of the university’s mission and the campus IT strategy. The membership consists of individuals with various campus functions and terms of service. Ex-officio membership is defined as an individual that serves on the committee based on their unique university title.

Purpose
The IT Steering Committee:
- Collaborates with the domain-specific committees to understand their needs, identify trends, and suggest ways of leveraging technology across the university
- Prioritizes and coordinates proposals and recommendations, in collaboration with the IT governance domain committees, for Executive IT Governance Board review and approval
- Reviews and gives input to the campus IT strategy
- Provides periodic updates to the domain committees
